The Human Touch: Optimizing My Time Across the Pond
It’s All About the Human Touch and how we connect with People
Business is People: the Customer Experience and Keeping Commitments
Sometimes business leadership means making difficult decisions that might seem to marginalize or shirk responsibilities at “World Headquarters” but pay large dividends for all down the road.
Last week, before our Company Retreat and October’s looming tax deadline, I had to leave for an overseas trip to London at the dismay of my fellow colleagues.
We Serve Global Markets: It’s Tough to Be Me Sometimes
In an era of the excess of Features, Baited Rebates, and promises of the “Personal Touch”, are all evidence of indifference to what should be a company’s first concern: the quality of your and my Customers’ Experiences.
Customer Experience encompasses every aspect of Morris+D’Angelo’s offering. Yet few have demonstrated sustained thought to how decisions and expressions might shape customer experiences. To the extent they do think about it, they all have different ideas of what customer experience means, and no one more senior oversees anyone else’s efforts.
We Serve Global Markets:
In general, consumers have a greater number of choices today than ever before, more complex choices, and more channels through which to pursue them. In such an environment, simple, integrated solutions to problems—not fragmented, burdensome ones—will win the allegiance of the time-pressed consumer. Further, in markets that are increasingly global, it is dangerous to assume that a given offering, communication, or other contact will affect faraway consumers the same way it does those at home.
Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to meet with high-level customers. Tangible or Intangible, Customer Service always comes to a close first place in my book.
End of Story.
