Africa: The Bucket List
Long before the movie “The Bucket List” about two aging septuagenarians seeking their salvation through completing their unfinished personal wish lists (Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson), I had established that I wanted to go on a Safari, Sleep near an African Watering Hole, and experience some of the grandest animals on Earth.

We Made It Happen
This summer (2017) along with my wife Sue and our daughter Kayla, we created a lifetime of experiences by exceeding our expectations of what a personal Bucket List trip should “Look, Taste and Feel” like.
The real lessons learned on our adventure were generated from unexpected observations, listening, and improving upon our “Foreign” awareness of new information, sights, and sounds; opening our minds to new experiences.
Nature is a Wonderful and Gifted Teacher
To enjoy Nature, all that is required is an interested and attuned student. Aristotle expressed that when investing efforts to craft ultimately persuasive arguments, students should look towards nature. Subsequent ancient scholars have all leveraged Aristotle’s concepts as they seek their own paths to crafting superior communications, metaphors, and analogies.
This is the first of a series of articles from my 2017 Africa Adventure designed to be an introduction to the lessons learned and a glimpse into those unexpected vistas. I will delve into these topics in greater depth over the next several months and I am hopeful that these lessons that I found so enlightening will be beneficial to you as well.
I am glad we took this trip and that I recommend that you might do something similar to challenge your current Perspective and Views.
